CSED Alex - GPA Calculator New Feature: Grade Points Preference

Recently, some friends asked me about the grades to points mapping I use in the CSED Alex - GPA Calculator. I was using a static mapping obtained from this page by Wisconsin University.

Unfortunately, some would need to use other mapping. For example, They want to map Distinction, Very Good, Good, Pass to 4, 3, 2, 1 instead of 4, 3.5, 2.75 and 2

Before today, you had to use your skills to calculate it yourself (or use another generic calculator). But as the new feature "Grade Points Preference Settings" added today, you can set your preferred grade points mapping and still use CSED Alex - GPA Calculator. Mapping gotten from Wisconsin University are still left as a default settings.

Very nice, Amr.
Thank you for the effort.

But as a former tester at Ejada, I can say you missed the validation that the grades should be in descending order. Try 1 for distinction and 5 for pass and it will work (which is logically incorrect).

:D

But really nice work!

Thanks Ahmad for the comments.

For the points should be in descending order, you are right. But I'm guessing this validation is not that important :D It's the responsibility of the user to put right points to get right GPA. If you wanna get a wrong GPA, do it ;)
